Lake Mead
This year, 2016, is Lake Mead’s centennial; help us celebrate 100 years along with the National Park Service centennial celebration. The lake is a favorite for kayaking and canoeing, and we rent these and other watercraft. Of course, it’s also a top houseboating destination given its broad open waters where you can glide along the coastline or anchor in a secluded cove. All of it is overlooked by towering mountains. In the winter months, you can scout out the migrating bald eagles.
Lake Mohave
Lake Mohave is a great houseboating destination with 237 miles of shoreline. Scuba diving has become increasingly popular at this 64-mile long reservoir which goes to a depth of 120 feet, features an underwater canyon and good visibility underwater. It’s also a terrific fishing location, well-stocked with trout, bass, and sunfish.
Lake Powell
Geologically speaking, Lake Powell is one of the most remarkable lakes you can visit. It features colorful sandstone cliffs, slot canyons, majestic arches, and sandy beaches. This lake will literally take your breath away. Once you’ve seen the mystical beauty of Lake Powell, you won’t be surprised to learn that many films set in the future or on other planets have used Lake Powell as scenery. Popular activities at Lake Powell include fishing, swimming, and sightseeing.
