February 2015 - Getting Connected

It's Time To Start Planning!

It's time to start planning your 2015 summer "disconnect" while your choice of summer dates, houseboat models, and marinas is still good! Some of the "hot" dates are already sold out and as time goes by, more summer dates will fill up

The time to kick back and relax will be out on the water this summer. For now, it's time to get serious and consider the following:

Who's Coming?

So... will it be a fun and fabulous "theme party" kind of crowd? Or maybe one with a more subdued sunset viewing tempo?

When Are We Going?

Will it be in the spring or fall?
Or... will it be in the middle of summer?

What Should We Bring?

What will make your lake vacation extra fun? Would it be something as simple as a kite? Or maybe something more essential like extra ice?

What Should We Rent?

How about some small boats or PWCs?
(If you don't bring your own.)

Many houseboaters get a disappointing answer when they ask about watercraft rentals at the check-in counter. Watercraft are usually sold out at the last minute. The key to avoid this is to "book 'em" early!

Who Not To Ask?

There's been lot of quacking out there about the marinas & lakes with news, gossip, and talk flying around at the speed of lightning.

Rumors abound about lake water levels and snow pack predictions. "Does depth really matter as much as surface area?" They ask?

Sometimes asking the grapevine is almost as productive as asking the fish...

The "Swiss Army Knife"
Of The Fleet?

It is the newest craft in the Forever houseboat lineup.

Some would also say it's not too small and it's not too big, it's just right... (Easy to navigate too!)

It gets great mileage with "the power of the inverter," has four queen berths, two bathrooms, a fly bridge, and a flat screen TV.

The price point is a great fit too!

They're available at:

Cottonwood Cove, NV

Don Pedro, CA

Lake Oroville, CA

Trinity Lake, CA

So back to the Swiss Army Knife" nickname...

Check it out for yourself!

So if you are so connected that you feel disconnected, does that mean that you need to disconnect to connect? I asked my wife and she said to stop typing, stop texting, get off the phone, and give it all a rest... OK!

Time for a vacation!
